The last days the inside of the Highroof bus have got attention. Some support bars for roofbed and overheadlockers was welded in place. Then hours of scrubbing away old glue and oil/wax from the floor was needed, not fun but thanks to the oil on the floor no rust repair was needed. When it all was clean it was time to sand it all down with 240 & 320 grit papers and then zinc primer. Topcoat in glossy white in 2 layers. Looks nice and feels alot more airy now. Like a blank canvas for the new interior to come!

The engine bay was blasted out during the week and tonight it was time to paint it all in 2K epoxy primer/sealer for rust protection. Looks clean already!
The fueltank for the Highroof bus is now cleaned and in paint, ready to install. VW anthracite grey. #highroofbayproject
The bus project moves on. Started to fix the sliderdoor yesterday. Sandblasted and now painted in primer. One step closer…
The old 1955 VW Oval ragtop I built back in 2006. Pan-off restoration with patina body on top! This was pretty rare back then, before ratlook was mainstream…this was soon 10 year ago. Dont forget to atch the movie clip. The car was later sod to France and burned up in a massive garage fire. RIP!

After 730 kilometers we are finally home again. 🙂 Not a problem, bus runs like a train. On Monday back to work… 🙁
