Vid Nobel i Karlstad kunde man förr tanka både Koppartrans, Caltex och Shell på en och samma “multi-mack” dygnet runt. Idag ligger bara Shell macken kvar här. Mittimot ligger idag en Statoil mack också. Det var hit till “multi-macken” min Koppartrans (Ljungmans 102 ACSFN.4) bensinpump levererades ny 27 September 1965. Det förklarar varför den har varit kopplad mot ett fjärrräkneverk. Pumpen hittades utanför Arvika vid Mossbergs gamla nerlagda lanthandel 2016.
No more naked metal, its now all sealed up with epoxy 2k primer for good rust protection! Next step is sanding and fixing all small dents etc before a coat of surfacer primer is layed down. After this some more sanding and then topcoat paint! Very time consuming job ahead…

Stephans VW Bay project moves on and here is some pics from the transmission overhaul made last week here in the garage. The transmission is a 002 case, 3 rib from late 1973. Code CK. The Baywindow buses are famous for their poor gearshifts. If you have a sloppy gearstick on your bus, first check all bushings in the gearlinkage that runs thru the floor from front to back. If the shifting still is bad, then its possible that the gearleveler balljoint (made in plastic) inside the nosecone is worn out. I replaced this balljoint on this tranny for one made in metal instead, so it will last for ever! The magneticplugs was cleaned, oil drained, all gaskets and seals new and then a coat of fresh paint. Now its ready to be bolted back in the bus again.
Some updates! All windows are out, all rust is repaired and the body have been sanded. Now the body work can start and I hope to have it in primer next week. Then its ready for more sanding and smaller bodywork before topcoat goes on. Maybe VW Marsala red paint?
Placed the working Coke machine and the new gaspump on the upper floor yesterday. Take a brake and have a Coke! 
Searching for rusty gold. Scored some old oilcans and a gaspump from Ljungmans 102 1965. A rare pump to find they where only made 1 year. Koppartrans from begining. More stuff to the collection!

Yesterday the Coke machine was finished. Got the new lite-up sign to glow with new lightbars. Also added a cold white LED stripe to the bottle/door and a red stripe in bottom off front door. The Coke gets really cold just after a couple of minutes when running. Drop by the garage if you are thirsty! 🙂
Moved the 1949 Chevy truck from it’s winter storage yesterday.
Almost finished with the Coke machine! I cut the metalsign up and converted it to a lite-up sign instead, this was an original option on these machines. Powdercoated the frame that was left in silvermetallic and installed two LED lightbars 3000K warmwhite color. Cleaned up the shelfs and compressor, checked all wires, oiled up the coin mechanism. Got all new emblems, locks and water decals on. Only waiting for the stickers on the sides of the machine “Have A Coke” the ones I got from US was in wrong color. Soon its time to load it up with bottles and just plug it in! The last final pics coming soon…

Today I started to sand down the black surfacer/primer so it was all smooth! Found some new dents that needed to be fixed also. And when it was all done it was time for shooting the Coca-Cola red paint. It was a hardtime to find the paintcode. Maybe it is trademarked. But the paintshop sells paint directly to the Coca-Cola company in Sweden so they had all the codes. It turned out great, looking really good. Next up is mounting back all hardware, trims and logos etc. The sign was in metal on the machine but Im going to convert it to a light up sign instead and using modern LED lightning. Also going to check up the compressor and all wirings before its ready to be put in service.
Coca-Cola retro crate made in wood for sale. Perfect for Coke bottles, interior design piece, carparts, flowers or what ever you want to use it for. I only have four of these reproduction crates. Started on the Vendo HA56 Coke Machine from the 1960s today. Got it stripped down on parts and then started on the bodywork. Painted two coats of surfacer/primer on it and it dryed fast in the warm sun outside the garage. I choosed a black basecoat to get that nice deep Coca-Cola red paint. The real and correct shade of red paint is ordered and also some parts from the US. More to come soon!

Got some stuff done on the front beam/axle on the Highroof bus this week. Fitted new grease zerks to the beam, installed a new center swivelpin and bushings, test fitted the new brakebooster, 4 new needlebearings (made a tool so they were easy to pull out). They were seated 8mm inside the tubes. Used a old bearing to knock them in again, and then the tool the last bit. New dustcovers mounted too. Got the axle bolted up in the frame on the bus and during the weekend, I will start installing torsionarms, spindles, tierods etc. The bus starts to look really nice, atleast underneath! 😉 More pics coming soon!

Been in Barcelona, Spain with the family on a vacation and just got back home. Nice to see some sun instead of snow! 🙂 Going to start put together the front beam axle this week. I have all the new parts from JUSTKAMPERS waiting for it, and hopefully have it bolted back up in the frame on the bus. More pics coming soon!
The front beam/axel have been sandblasted and painted in Deepblack paint. Also modified the servo/brakebooster bracket so a new modern Brazil Bay booster will fit on the old Bay beam. The bracket was made 30mm extra wide, because the bolt pattern is little diffrent on the new servo. Doing this you just have to pay 140euros for a new servo instead for the original 400euros(!).
